What's more, the story wavers in the second half. But in Jogayya, the narration is a hotch-potch. Jogi came with a cross narration that kept viewers at the edge of their seats throughout the film. Joggayya's screenplay is not very powerful. Our Jogayya is very economical with the bloodshed.

Those who waited six long years for Madesha to wield his machete in full force to destroy his enemies again, are in for a disappointment. Added to that are the dialogues that harp on the value of a mother. There are enough and more musical echoes from Jogi to remind us of the beautiful relationship that they shared. In Jogayya, director Prem does not want to let go of that theme, but he overdoes it a bit. But what had worked more for that film was the beautifully etched mother-son relationship. Jogi had enough action to please Shivarjkumar's many fans.
He then decides to take over the underworld. However, he is freed for lack of evidence. The police catch him in Mumbai and bring him back to Bangalore. But it's not long before his unsavoury past catches up with him. He even manages to find a job as a helper in a Kannada household. Jogi decides to cut off ties with the underworld and leaves for Mumbai. Jogayya talks of what happens to Jogi after his mother's death. It was the mother-son relationship that had made the film a huge success. The film ends with the mother dying without meeting her son. Madesha is close to his mother who comes to the city in search of him. In Jogi, we saw Madesha (Shivarajkumar), who is from a small village, come to the city in search of a job and in the process become underworld don Jogi. Jogayya, the 100th film of Shivarajkumar, released amidst great fan furor, tells the story of Madesha alias Jogi after his mother's death. The curious journey of Madesha from Jogi to Jogayya unravelled on screens today. The vocals sound new with exceptions.Shruti Indira Lakshminarayana feels Jogayya is no Jogi. There is a strong Tamil flavour in all of the songs, with even traces of Harris' past works eminently noticeable. The tune has a dualistic quality for sure. It announces both heroism and villainism at once. The tune heard in the teaser is what 'Spyder on mission' is about. The lyrics throw up a challenge to the director's visualization, since it's a superstar who is singing in praise of Miss Mysterious. Christopher and Sathya Prakash complement his talent well. Pravin Saivi's vocals are as sharp as that of a Kautilya. The song promises to grow slowly but surely on the ears. Harris Jayaraj tries a blending of the classical and the pop to a worthy effect.
Singers: Pravin Saivi, Christopher Stanley, Sathya Prakash If Brijesh Tripathi does the fine job of elevating the Hindustani influence of the number, Harini and Sunitha remind one of our own Geetha Madhuri. The singers get breathless time and again. 'Kanne chunniki malle ninnu utiki pindi rangu dandaanikesi, endakaaresi, teesi vanka nadumuku chuttukoda sotta bugga chitti jabili' and such lines are remarkably curious. Singers: Brijesh Tripathi, Harini, SunithaĪR Murugadoss may not have picturized it as a raunchy number, but lyrically, 'Haali Haali' is unmistakably voluptuous, way too naughty and quite irreverent. The ballet dance may well be amenable for the song. Somehow, Harris seems to think that this number is for a medium-range star, a Kollywood one at that. While Hari Charan's voice is very familiar, Shakti Shree's voice will take its sweet time to sink in. They vie for each other's company, an urge and a bonding brought out well by Shastry's lyrics (read phrases like 'Nnuvu navu visiresthe'). The lines are lilting and the love birds are in a mirth. The lyrics, the vocals and the music, in that order, make the number. Not to be missed, the way the hero's identity (of spy) is highlighted musically and lyrically is awesome. The lyrics appease him, elevate him and create a sense of invincibility about AR Murugadoss' protagonist. Ramajogayya Sastry's greatest ever spy is not just amazingly omnipotent but also enjoys omniscience of eminence. The stanza does remind one of Keeravani's 'Dhinthana' number from 'Dikkulu Choodaku Ramayya'. You have to listen to the beats to start tapping your foot and jive in exhilaration. Harris Jayaraj's music gets it going from the word go. Nikitha Gandhi, Hari Charan, Shakti Shree, Brijesh Tripathi, Harini, Jogi Sunitha, Pravin Saivi, Christopher Stanley, and Sathya Prakash are the singers.Īs the pulsating title of the number suggests, it's a hero-centric single that catapults the spy of the moment to supermanship.
